This site transferred to ARPA networks during April 1982. It was one of the original information sites on the "Internet" feeding unofficial data about events within the Nevada Nuclear Test Site. This information was always unclassified in nature, and provided data about things that the media typically would over sensationalize. The site was retired in 1994 and turned into a less sensitive information platform. We hope that the "new" information will reach a broader base of users.
During the 1970's, 1980's and early 1990's this site always informed people about Nuclear Tests to be performed (when known). Information as to time of detonation was published and yield of the device. Hotels and businesses in multi-floor buildings would always like to know about a test. This gave people time to react, and not panic when the ground shook and buldings waved from horizontal motion. During tests, it almost felt like an earth quake.
NETstat has been in service since 1993 as a Web Development House and also a consulting agency for corporations. We provided such services as Client/Server designers and as Y2K solution experts for the Utility Industry. In mid 2000 it was decided, that Web Development and Servicing was to much of a resource burden for a little return. So we felt it was best to dedicate our resources to Hosting and Co-Location of Internet Servers and Services. We have sold off our business unit and no longer desire that model any longer.
Development platforms are based on Sun, Sun Servers with dual processors or more and 1GB of RAM Memory.
