From Miss Nevada Teen USA 1998

Becoming Miss Nevada Teen USA has been a dream come true. It has been everything I dreamt it would be. I have met so many wonderful people who have supported me in all that I have done. My reign would not have been as successful as it was if it weren't for some very special people.

First, I give thanks to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who is the head of my life. Through Him I get my strength. My mother for all of her love and support and being my backbone, my grandparents, my aunts Jackie and Lisa, my uncle James, my cousin Johnathan, and Christopher, thank you for all your support. My sisters Kayla and Brandi for being who you are and always putting a smile on my face. To all my other family members and friends, thank you for being in my corner. As the old saying goes, "It takes a village to raise a child." I am very appreciative for my village.

Shirley Rankin, thank you for all your coaching and continued support. Without your help, I would not have acquired such a prestigious title. Uncle Chet, what can I say, Louisiana was a blast. Hope we can travel again soon. To my counterpart, friend, sister queen, Miss Nevada USA, Tammie Rankin, you are truly amazing. I am very proud to stand beside a beautiful and intelligent young woman.

I would also like to thank Laura, Lou and Michelle for preparing me to attend the Miss Teen USA pageant. You are greatly appreciated.

To all the contestants, good luck and have fun!

Yours in Christ,
Victoria L. Franklin
