Becoming an official "Cindy Girl & Fairy Godmother" for a State Program is one of the most distinguished honors that can be bestowed on a young lady.   More than a participant, a "Cindy Girl & Fairy Godmother" are young ladies who have displayed sterling character and the goals and ambitions to set themselves apart from the masses and become someone special. They are young ladies who have "dared to dream" and have displayed the determination to turn their dreams into realities.   The "Cindy Girl & Fairy Godmother" possess the charm, grace, inner beauty and - above all - the humility that has made Cinderella the object of admiration down through history.   Today's "Cindy Girl & Fairy Godmother" are as timeless as the ages. They are as gracious as yesteryear...as up-to-date as today...as modern as tomorrow...with spiritual values that have bridged the chasm of time.   They have the eyes that see only the good in others; hands that do something for others; feet that carry them on errands for others; and a heart that is synchronized with the heart of God...loving, caring and compassionate for others.   They possess the qualities of good sportsmanship and are dedicated to setting the right example for their community, state, and nation.   They believe that pageantry can develop leadership in young ladies through a united effort with other Cinderella Girls everywhere.   The "Cindy Girl & Fairy Godmother" believe and live by the Cinderella Girl Pledge that has become a regular part of their everyday living: "On my honor I promise to do my best to live up to the high standards and ideals of the Cinderella Girl Program; to honor my God and country; to always conduct myself in a manner that is becoming to a young lady; to keep myself morally straight; to respect my mother and father; to recognize the rights of others; to keep the competitive spirit and be a good loser as well as a good winner; and dedicate myself to a world united in peace through love, mutual trust and understanding among the peoples of all nations, races, and creeds."
