Wow - isn't that amazing. Twenty years of Cinderella in the State of Nevada and 21 on the International level. That's almost mind boggling to think about, especially when people have been involved with this program for 10, 15 years. When we "inherited" this program, we really inherited a family. People ask us all the time if we are going to get rich off of this program and we just laugh. To be honest, if we didn't work full time we probably couldn't do Cinderella. So, the next logical question is, "Why do you do it?" Actually, that's fairly easy to answer. YOU - you are why we do it. Watching little girls grow into wonderful young ladies. Helping the shy one who wouldn't come out from behind mom's back become an outgoing and fun-loving little girl. Mostly, though, it's because of the people who say, "If I hadn't done Cinderella I wouldn't be where I am today. Cinderella gave me the confidence, the belief that I can do anything and the grooming to present myself in a good and positive way." To us, that's the biggest reward. Every one of these young ladies will look back someday and say Cinderella helped me more than I ever realized. Whether they win a crown or compete for years and never get the brass ring, Cinderella works. The thing that each of you needs to remember is that the winning is not in the crown, the winning is in the friends, fun, competition, and being glad for whoever wins because they are your friend. We would like to take a moment to welcome all past royalty who have come to be with us as we celebrate our birthday. We also wish to thank every one of our staff members this year, because we truly couldn't put this together without them. If you get a moment please give them a little thank you for all of their hard work. Last, but certainly not least, don't forget to PARTY and HAVE A GOOD TIME this week!
